Ms.Rainbow Pride of Canada© AND Mx. Rainbow Pride of Canada© will be open to accepting applications starting Monday, February 24th, 2025 at Noon EST
NOTE: there is no cash prize for winning this community title other than one of prestige. APPLICATIONS CLOSE Friday, March 7th, 2025 at 9 PM EST (extensions of application may be granted if asked for 24 hours in advance of closing). The application link is at the bottom of this notification. Please note the form will not be processed unless all required sections are fully completed before submitting.
Our current title holder, Ms.Rainbow Pride of Canada© XII, Blak Widow, reign will soon end, as they have completed their required tasks before the end date of March 31, 2025. The step-down and step-up ceremony(“Celebration”) will take place in Calgary, Alberta on April 5th, 2025. at The Danish Canadian Club Calgary and broadcast on YouTube and other social media outlets. We would like to thank both of them for a job well done.
You must be a resident of Canada to apply. You will also be required to travel, at your expense, to New Brunswick, Canada on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 to attend the ”Celebration 2026” event.
International Court System members are always welcome to apply, so long as they are not currently serving as a reigning Monarch/Regent or Other Current Titles unless their reign ends by March 31, 2025. This also includes considering a run for another title before their term ends with IDQ&F/CDQ&F. Please submit your applications based on the information below.

Ms./Mx. Rainbow Pride of Canada© XIV applications must be completed in full. Once they are completed, each person will be interviewed by two or three members of the General Council to assess their application. Followed by a meeting with members of the Executive Council.
If you have been told you are approved, you must keep it confidential until the announcement is made by the Grand Matriarch. We do have eyes and ears on the ground; violating this rule will mean your removal from the list once posted before the vote when names are released.
Dates for voting:
Saturday, March 22nd by 5 PM EST TO Friday, March 28th by 6 PM Eastern. The Council meets to decide the criteria annually. Due to COVID-19, we ask that even though it may be over, we have events with current masking protocols to ensure we have a healthy and secure event when in public. We will be using the traditional nomination process used in recent years and continue with the same rules and procedures used for 2021. Where this process seems to have worked, we will continue with it in future years for Ms./ Mr./Mx. International Pride ©
Candidates applying must submit the following:
• A video of one performance (video must be clear to view in a well-lit space, We want to see how well you lip-sync to your song, make-up, and your performance engaging your audience if you have one.) NOTE: Taking and accepting a drink as a tip while performing in the video is not permitted.
• Two (2) high-resolution photos – one of you in character, one out of character.
• A bio of 350 words or less of yourself and your drag career
• A list of any previous titles and the years involved. If you currently hold a title, it must end by March 31st, 2025. If you are awarded the title of Ms./Mx. Rainbow Pride of Canada© XIV, you will require General Council permission to enter outside pageants during your title year, it is our policy not to permit this as it could interfere or prevent you from doing some of the duties assigned to you.
• A list of any arrests, time served or if you are on parole. (Note: This does not stop you from being a candidate. We ask this to avoid someone creating drama and making a case of it. This information will be kept confidential)
• Select a registered and/or licensed charity, a not-for-profit organization does not qualify at this time, (according to the laws in your province of residence) that you will support if you are elected. If elected, you will be required to provide proof that the organization you have selected to support is a registered charity.
Please include on your application the following:
- Your full legal name along with your full mailing address, Phone Number and email address.
- Prepare a list of those you may get to appoint to gather their full legal names and full mailing addresses of those you may wish to appoint along with email addresses as they may have to attend a Google “Meets” Meeting (1st Prince or Princess, Lady in waiting or SGT at Arms (Aide-de-camp) both (depending on the title only one but not both). Other titles you wish to add (including titles of honor) need to be approved by the executive in advance. At 6 months, you may appoint your reign Half that must have executive approval. (Ensure the information you provide of your appointees is current and have their permission in writing in case we wish to see it. These appointments must also sign a memorandum of understanding and agreement, and provide usthat they have had any arrest records, for the same reasons that apply to you)
- Ensure you and your appointees are approved members and have access to a good internet connection as meetings are on Google “Meets” which will be mandatory on occasion.
You must also obtain from each charity (as you can have more than one) and submit proof of permission to use the registered charitable organization’s name and logo for advertising purposes during your title year.
You should also ask the charity if they will provide on occasion a lottery license for any raffles or 50/50 draws that may take place during your reign (pursuant to your province/territory rules).. We do not have such a license nor will we provide one. If you do, you are responsible for keeping track of the amount you have turned over to the charity as this becomes part of the total on your presentation cheque presented to the charity at the step-down event along with the check or bank draft for the balance raised. Any other funds raised must be deposited with the organization, where we will keep a running total less the 10% used towards our cost of operations.
• An explanation of why you chose this charity in as much detail as you desire.
• Your plan on how to raise the funds for your chosen charity. Do you have a dollar goal set in mind? (Note: funds you raise must be accounted for after each event, and proof of the funds given to the charity must be submitted for the 50/50 draws/raffles (pursuant to your province/territory rules), all other funds raised must be turned over to IDQ&F bank account via direct deposit or email transfer) Once your application package is received the Council will contact you to set up a date to meet and with any questions.
All funds raised will go through the IDQF/CDQ&F Bank Accounts via direct deposit in Branch or via E-transfer. We also retain 10% of all funds raised, which is set aside to cover our operational expenses.
Applications that do not include the above items could be rejected. From those submitted in good order, the successful applicants will have their performance video posted as part of the voting with the ballot.
If you are selected, you will be asked to sign a memorandum of understanding as your agreement with IDQ&F/CDQ&F. This will also include your acknowledgement and agreement of our “Code of Conduct”, where and how to deposit funds raised. Acknowledgement that the organization will withhold 10% of funds raised to cover operating expense,s among other details.
You must coordinate and/or collaborate with other titleholders crowned the same night as you and an executive member, who will be appointed to coordinate your events and meetings to help plan for your step-down event through Google “Meets”. Refusal to work with and amongst titleholders, and not communicate with them or about them respectfully will not be tolerated and could mean forfeiture of the title.
We encourage you to travel, at your own expense, to attend our crowning event for 2025 (“Celebration” 2025) in Calgary, Alberta, on April 5th, 2025
