International Drag Queens and Friends Inc. (I.D.Q.& F.) Announces “Celebration 2026” Event in New Brunswick
New Brunswick, Canada – International Drag Queens and Friends Inc. (I.D.Q.& F.) is excited to announce the upcoming annual “Celebration 2026” event, to be held on April 4, 2026, in New Brunswick. This highly anticipated event will feature the crowning of the distinguished titles: Ms./Mx. and Mr. International Pride and Ms./Mx Rainbow Pride of Canada.
On this momentous occasion, Amanda-Lynn H. Turner James Stare (Emerald Gibson), the current Grand Matriarch and Founder of I.D.Q. & F. will be stepping down after an inspiring Silver Jubilee Year. This historic event will mark the end of her reign as Grand Matriarch I, as she passes the title to the newly appointed Grand Matriarch II.
“We are thrilled to be bringing this event to New Brunswick, a place where our community has flourished, where I have lived for the last 34 years and we are deeply grateful to the supporters and sponsors who have and continue to make our mission possible,” said Amanda-Lynn H. Turner James Stare. “This event will be a heartfelt celebration of progress, unity, and pride, while also honouring the legacy of our past and those who have paved the way.”
The event is still in the planning stages, with three potential cities being considered to host the celebration: Fredericton, Saint John, and Moncton. The event and activities will take place over 2-3 days. The final decision will be made shortly based on various factors, including airfare costs, convenience, local and international sponsorship opportunities, and availability of venues such as hotels, ballrooms, and airlines to accommodate attendees. The selected location will be announced at our Celebration 2025 event in Calgary, Alberta, on April 5th, 2025.
